Future Stars (New for 2026)

Being selected as a TLL Future Star is an exciting way to kick off the summer season! While not part of the official Little League International tournament pathway, these players represent the very best of TLL in terms of talent, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The time commitment and practice structure is not quite as rigorous as All-stars which allows for broader participation.

Future Stars teams are thoughtfully assembled with an emphasis on attitude, coachability, and skill. Players begin by submitting their All-Star availability and are then recommended by their team managers. Final rosters are carefully selected by the Future Stars Team manager to create balanced, competitive teams.

Once selected, players will participate in several practices leading up to Futures Day—a special event dedicated entirely to our Future Stars program.

Futures Day brings all TLL Future Stars teams together for a fun and competitive day of games. Teams will face off against other TLL squads, with the potential to expand matchups by inviting neighboring leagues in the future.

Future Stars Team Descriptions

Single-A Futures (Typically 4 teams of 12)

Our youngest Future Stars group, designed to recognize players who are beginning to stand out in their early development. The focus is on encouragement, confidence-building, and introducing a more competitive environment in a fun and supportive setting. Selection requirements are intentionally flexible to ensure broad participation and recognition.

9u AA (Typically 2 teams of 12)

Built primarily from 9-year-olds in the AA division, with select 8-year-olds eligible, this group highlights players who have demonstrated strong fundamentals and game awareness. It offers a step up in competition while giving players the chance to collaborate with teammates from across the division.

9u AAA (Typically 2 teams of 12)

Composed mainly of 9-year-olds from the AAA division, with 8-year-olds eligible, this level brings a more advanced pace of play. Games follow AAA rules, providing a familiar structure while elevating competition and encouraging players to further refine their skills in a new team environment.

11u (Typically 2 teams of 12)

This group features top 10- and 11-year-olds from the AAA and Majors divisions. With gameplay aligned to Majors rules, players experience a higher level of strategy and competition. It’s an opportunity for standout players to challenge themselves while building connections with peers from across the league.

All-Stars

Being selected as a Standard Little League All-Star is one of the highest honors a player can achieve during the season. These teams represent the official postseason pathway within Little League International, where players compete against other leagues in district, sectional, state, and potentially regional and World Series tournaments.

All-Star teams are formed through a structured selection process that typically includes player nominations, manager input, and voting. Selection is based on a combination of performance, baseball IQ, positional needs, and—most importantly—sportsmanship, attitude, and team-first mentality. These teams represent the league as a whole, not individual regular-season teams.

Once selected, players commit to an intensive schedule of practices and tournament play. All-Stars is highly competitive and requires a significant time commitment from both players and families.

All-Star Team Descriptions

8u All-Stars (Invitational Team)

Players are selected from AA & AAA Division based on skill, effort, coachability, and positive attitude.

10u All-Stars (8 - 10 Year Olds)

Teams are made up of advanced players ready for increased game speed, leading, and pickoff moves. These teams compete in the Little League International tournament culminating in a World Series.

Junior League All-Stars (12–16 Year Olds)

Comprised of players from the Junior and/or Senior Division teams. They play on a full-size 60/90 field.
