TLL Fall Ball

Fall Ball Information

This information is current for Fall 2022.

Registration for Fall Ball starts in May and runs through the beginning of August. The season will begin August 29th, 2022 and runs to the middle of November, weather permitting. Team assignment takes place the middle of August and schedules are out shortly after the season begins.

The Fall season is comprised of baseball for players in preschool to sixteen years old. Fall ball is open to anyone who meets the age requirements, please see the age chart below.  Fall Ball age dates go off of the Spring Season league age calendar.  You do *not* have to have played in Temecula Little League in the spring to with us in the Fall Season. Depending on field availability and division, each team will play one to two games per week, and have one practice a week.  Game schedules are designed as much as possible to avoid conflicts with other youth sports such as soccer and football as we know our players usually have other sports they participate in during the Fall Season.

There may be opportunities to play against teams from nearby towns, particularly for the older players.

The focus of Fall Ball is developmental. This enables our managers and Coaches to offer instruction and games to returning players, as well as to those who did not play during the spring season. In many cases, it also gives players exposure to the next level of play; i.e. the level they will be eligible to play next spring.  We always recommend players who are interested in moving up next Spring should play up this Fall.  For example, if your child was in the Single A division and will be league age 8/9/10 next Spring, then register for AA, as it will help them adjust much easier next Spring.  So please register for the correct division.  Managers should be aware this is the case & be extra patient in developing players this Fall.

Fall Ball is more laid back compared to Spring Ball.  It is more like instructional backyard ball.  There are far fewer teams.  Managers will be encouraged to rotate players around to different positions (while still teaching the positions), especially pitcher & catcher.  Every team bats the entire line-up & there's open substitution such that nobody should sit on the bench more than 1 inning at a time and everyone should play about the same number of innings in every game.  We do not keep score or standings for Fall Ball.

There are no tryouts in the fall. Players are placed on teams by the Fall League General Manager. The BOD for TLL will select managers and coaches. Please indicate your interest in managing or coaching during the registration process.

**No refund requests will be honored once registration has been closed.

The following table provides information about each fall league. Final league structures for any given year depend on registration numbers for each group.

Note that there is some age overlap at Minors and above. This is by design. It allows kids to play with others at similar skill level. At the younger ages (tee-ball and instructional leagues), this isn't so important, as the kids get more out of playing with their friends of the same age/grade.
