FINAL Assessments Session on Jan-15 at Birdsall Sports Park

This Saturday, January 15th we will be holding our FINAL day of Player Assessments.

Location: Patricia H Birdsall Sports Park 32380 Deer Hollow Way, Temecula, CA 92592 Field 4 (Look for our Banners)

Who:

Players aged 7 who want to be assessed for AA Player Pitch also mandatory*)
Player Assessments are MANDATORY to attend for players 8+ (At least 1 of the 2 days)

Players who do not attend player assessments will not available for the normal selection process and will be placed into a random drawing for team assignment.

We require every player to assess each year
Majors Property Players, Managers Player, and predetermined AA & AAA Assistant's Player are exempt.

Single A and Tee Ball players do not need to attend.

There will be an option for players to be signed up on site

Arrival: Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes early to check in at our tent. Your player will receive a number for you to pin on their front, so our coaches know who they're assessing. We will have a bucket of balls in the outfield for players to warm up their arms, but when it's time to start, we will need to line the players up quickly.

Times:

Ages 8 – 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

Ages 9 – 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM

Ages 10 – 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Ages 11 – 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM

Ages 12 – 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

Ages 13+ – 3:30 PM until we wrap up

Field Plan: Before jumping into the assessment, we will stretch the players out, cover some quick ground rules, explain the stations, and get the ball rolling. Players will receive ground balls with a throw to first, be the first baseman, fly balls, and a quick at bat.

Another Reminder: We are all volunteers, and we will do our best to process each player and allow them adequate time to assess. We will have a larger than normal number of players in attendance, so please bear with us if we get a little behind. Questions or concerns should be directed to the Board of Directors, who will be wearing Board apparel.
